The Lora Jean Kilroy Visitor and Education Center at Bayou Bend is a 17,598-SF, high-performance building that advances the visionary collection of Texas icon, Ms. Ima Hogg. This modern building encompasses an orientation gallery, an exhibit about the Hogg Family, a book and retail shop, staff offices, and two state-of-the-art meeting rooms. The second floor is devoted to a research library and study center featuring about 6,000 books. This was the first LEED-certified museum in Houston (LEED Silver) and the second in Texas.
