The new Houston Ballet Center for Dance features two-story rehearsal studios, dressing rooms, wardrobe storage and workshop, offices, and dormitories. The 150,000-SF, granite-clad facility stands six-stories tall with an 88-foot tall glass entry archway. This striking facility embodies a black box theater which is situated on the first floor along with a generous drive-through/drop-off area and ramp which leads to basement parking. Bellows constructed a sky bridge spanning Smith Street to connect the facility to the Wortham Theatre Center, the Ballet’s principal performing venue.
